Insights · Creativity · Harnesses · Rubrics for LLM Agents
Shenzhen, Guangdong, China
I am a second-year master’s student in Computer Technology at Tsinghua SIGS, advised by Prof. Hai-Tao Zheng. My educational background spans four foundational disciplines—physics, mathematics, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
I study how algorithm design and systems engineering shape the capabilities and efficiency of LLM agents. My publications include Natural-Language Agent Harnesses and studies of agents’ capabilities for self-evolution and social evolution.
I am currently a research intern at Baidu, working on agent algorithms for Famou Agent, which currently ranks #1 on the MLE-Bench leaderboard for AutoResearch tasks. My ultimate goal is to enable recursive self-improvement (RSI) in agents. Previously, I interned with Meituan’s LongCat LLM Team and Tencent’s LightSpeed Studios.
Research Interests:
- Insightful and Creative Agents: enabling agents to uncover critical insights that help overcome current AI systems’ bottlenecks in developing solutions to open-ended tasks and achieving original innovation.
- AI Scientists: building self-starting, end-to-end agents that investigate a scientific topic from scratch and produce insightful, verifiable discoveries.
- Recursive Self-Improvement: building agent systems that learn through real-world trial and error and recursively improve both their harnesses and models.
I am also betting on four paths to the next major breakthroughs in foundational LLMs: AI for open-ended subjective tasks, compute-efficient frontier models, model-native explicit knowledge modules, and AI capable of genuine innovation.
